If you’re looking for safe and entertaining options this Halloween, Lake Highlands has plenty of Trunk or Treat activities to keep your kids busy and their plastic pumpkins full. An alternative to traditional trick-or-treating, Trunk or Treat events began about 30 years ago in church parking lots with Sunday school classes distributing candy out of the trunks of cars. The concept has expanded over time, with organizations of all kinds now offering a safe substitute for ringing the doorbells of strangers.
