Lake Highlands ended its run in the Plano Wildcats Holiday Classic with an 81-65 loss to Lewisville on Wednesday.
LH was doomed when it fell behind 23-8 in the first quarter. The Cats made a valiant effort by outscoring Lewisville, 20-15, in the second quarter, but could never make up the distance.
The Wildcats were led by Ricky Zorn with 18, Demarcus Bernard with 16 and Tevin Elmore with 13.
LH is now 9-10 on the season, 1-1 in district play, and re-opens 9-5A action Tuesday at home against Berkner.
