Could apartments be in The Hill’s near future? Possibly.
Asana Partners, the owners of the local shopping center, have plans for a zoning change to allow for redevelopment of the property. The center is currently a commercial property, but mixed-use zoning would allow for apartments on the site.
In addition to redevelopment and zoning Asana Partners is seeking approvals to build as high as almost 20 stories on part of its property, according to The Dallas Morning News.
If approved, up to 1,200 multifamily units or 1,740 multifamily units — if there are also mixed-income units— could be constructed. The City and Planning Commission will further discuss the case at the July 20 meeting.
The firm bought the shopping center in 2021.
