According to the National Weather Service, most of the DFW area will be under a winter weather advisory from 5 p.m-midnight as an Arctic front moves in. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing by this evening and could be accompanied by freezing rain and drizzle.
The impact on travel has been listed as low by the NWS. While ice accumulations are expected to be minimal, there may be some light buildup, especially on overpasses and bridges.
