The Lake Highlands Family YMCA is currently closed for repairs following water supply issues, although it is expected to reopen later today.
Vice President of Operations for the LHYMCA Brian Haines said that the building’s backflow valve failed late Wednesday night, causing the Y to cut off water to the building. Despite the issue, no water damage was sustained, Haines said.
Earlier today, the Y posted on Facebook that parts had been located and were being brought to the location for repairs. The Y is expected to remain closed until at least 4 p.m, Haines said.
The Lake Highlands Family YMCA will post updates to Facebook as they become available.
