Led by local yoga instructor Katy Spartz, who specializes in working with children and moms, the classes begin Nov. 1 and will run through Nov. 22. All ages are welcome, although the experience is specifically designed for 2-5-year-olds.

Tickets cost $120 and cover the cost of all four November classes. Classes will take place every Friday from 9:30-10 a.m. One hour of free play is included in the price of admission.

Spartz owns the kids’ and moms’ wellness business Lark + Evergreen. The business is centered around rebuilding postpartum health through exercise and using yoga to give children tools to better deal with their emotions. The yoga sessions feature poses designed to spur active play, animal songs, breathing exercises and stories to help children manage “big feelings”, according to the business’s website.

Down to Play opened over the summer with 3,500 square feet of play area. Designed to be inclusive for children “of all abilities,” the playground also has sensory and therapy rooms. To read more about the concept, click here.
