LHAECPTA Character Breakfast and Auction
Volunteers with the Lake Highlands Area Early Childhood PTA are gearing up for their biggest fundraiser of the year — their 3rd Annual Character Breakfast and Auction. Celebrity guests including Bluey & Bingo, Spiderman, Rapunzel, Mario and Princess Peach will be on hand to visit with children and pose for photos.
The fun-filled morning will begin with a hot breakfast, followed by dancing and a silent auction with unique items, including a membership to the KayCee Club. A raffle will include several high dollar prizes.
The character breakfast will help fund free community events hosted by the LHAECPTA, including their fall carnival, holiday party, Easter egg hunt, working moms’ lunches, book club sessions and outdoor movie nights. Funds also enable the group’s many community service projects, including coat and mitten drives, school supply donations,
canned goods drives for Feed Lake Highlands, care package assemblies for refugee families and book donations to preschool programs so every child has access to reading material.
The LHAECPTA is one of the oldest organizations in Lake Highlands, serving our area since 1959. The community-wide nonprofit organization is dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and equipping parents of preschoolers with helpful parenting tools.
The character breakfast will be held Saturday, April 20 from 9 – 11 a.m. at the KayCee Club, 10110 Shoreview. Tickets are available here and are $40 for adults, $30 for kids 18 months and up. Attendance is free for babies under 18 months. You may donate to the cause here.
