Dedicated Junior Women’s League volunteers had Lake Highlands rockin’ around the Christmas tree Sunday as the community came out for their annual Light Up the Highlands event.
League members hosted balloon artists, face painters, kids’ crafts and a mini shopping market. They offered inner tubing down a hill made of real snow and a makeshift ice skating rink, and they had delicious hot chocolate to keep kiddies warm.
The highlight, as always, was Santa’s lighting of the Lake Highlands Town Center’s giant Christmas tree. The tree will remain lit until mid-January for holiday revelers.
