Don’t fret. Shady’s and the Wildcat soccer team have got you covered.
Shady’s Burgers and Brewhaha will host Spirit Night Wednesday from 4-9 p.m., with proceeds benefiting the Lake Highlands High School soccer program. Mention the Wildcats before you order, and the team will receive a portion of your purchase.
Lots of players and their family members will be at Shady’s around 6 p.m. to say hello as they prepare to start their season, but the real stars of the evening will be on the menu. You’ll want to begin with the queso nuevo, of course, full of serrano and hatch chiles, grilled jalapenos and pico de gallo. You already love Shady’s juicy burgers, but have you tried their fish tacos with spicy slaw or their pulled pork sandwich with crispy onion strings? And don’t forget the caramel pretzel shake.

The Wildcat soccer season kicks off with a match at Flower Mound Dec. 12 and a home game Dec. 14 against Terrell. Last year, they won the regional semifinals and fell just short of earning a spot in the state tournament.
