There are just days left before Christmas.
Whatever it is you’re doing — last-minute shopping, traveling, spending time with friends and family — you might need a soundtrack to help curate a festive mood.

Christmas In My Hometown album by the late Charley Pride, a former Preston Hollow resident. The album includes classics such as “Silent Night,” “Little Drummer Boy,” “Deck the Halls” and “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow,” among others.
The Polyphonic Spree’s Holidaydream: Sounds of the Holidays Vol. One, which features “Winter Wonderland,” “Silent Night,” “Silver Bells,” “White Christmas” and others.

Michael Nesmith, who grew up in Preston Hollow, and the rest of The Monkees released a Christmas album called Christmas Party.
The Hockaday School alumna Lisa Loeb’s “A Holiday Song”
Old 97’s and Kevin Bacon performed “Here It Is Christmastime” for Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
East Dallas resident Randy Brooks wrote “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer”
According to Variety, the best holiday song of 2021 was by Lake Highlands native St. Vincent, “…At the Holiday Party”
And we recently wrote about Lisa Layne, who grew up in Oak Cliff. She sang “All I Want for Christmas Is You” before Mariah Carey.
