The targeted spraying took place overnight from Tuesday, May 26 to Wednesday, May 27 near 9900 Silvertree Drive in the 75243 ZIP code, located within Dallas City Council District 10.

According to the county, the affected area was bordered by Morgan Meadow Lane to the north, Pleasant Valley Drive to the west, White Elm Road to the east and Forest Lane to the south.

The spraying is part of Dallas County’s ongoing mosquito control efforts to help reduce the spread of West Nile virus during mosquito season.

Residents are encouraged to help prevent mosquito breeding by removing standing water around their homes, using insect repellent outdoors and limiting outdoor activity during peak mosquito hours at dawn and dusk.
