Wynne Naylor, left leaping

Lake Highlands legend Kitty Carter will host her 45th Dance Factory Revue in June, and this year’s end-of-season show will be particularly special. Funds generated by program ads will benefit the More Like Wynne Foundation created in memory of 8-year-old Wynne Naylor.

Wynne was a talented performer, and she had been selected to dance in Carter’s youngest company this year. She also loved the outdoors and was among the youngest campers at Camp Mystic when floodwaters hit her cabin in the Texas Hill Country last July 4. She and several of her friends were washed away.

In addition to a presentation honoring and remembering the Lake Highlands Elementary third grader, the recital will look back at 45 years of dance in Lake Highlands. Former dancers, parents and members of the community are invited to attend.

The revue will be held June 8 at 3:30 p.m. at McFarlin Auditorium on the SMU campus. Tickets are available by emailing KCDF@sbcglobal.net. If you’d like to donate directly to More Like Wynne, click here.
