Tabitha Branum was officially approved as Richardson ISD superintendent last night and showered with praise from trustees. During the vote, the auditorium at RISD headquarters was filled with current and former district employees, trustees and superintendents, including Jeannie Stone, Kay Waggoner and Carolyn Bukhair.
After she was officially sworn in, Branum expressed love and gratitude to teachers and district leaders and shared her optimistic view for RISD’s future. She especially thanked her family, who showed up in large numbers to demonstrate their support.
