Salata is planning to add a location at Medallion Center.
There’s a sign on the corner of 6464 E. Northwest Highway, suite 318, announcing the future site of the salad restaurant. Fish Bone Grill was once housed in that spot, which is right next to where Smallcakes is.
Fish Bone Grill opened at Medallion Center, near Northwest Highway’s intersection with Abrams Road, in 1983. It closed in 2019, and the space has been vacant since then.
A representative from the commercial real estate company managing the site, Venture DFW, confirmed the restaurant’s new location and said she expects it to open in late summer.
Salata is a fast-casual salad bar allows diners to customize their meals with over 50 fresh toppings and a dozen dressing options. In Dallas, there are locations Downtown, one in Uptown and one in Preston Center.
The chain started in Houston in 2005 and has expanded to several other states since then.
