news roundup 264X176Police still have not released the name of a person found floating in White Rock Lake Sunday. According to Dallas police spokesperson DeMarquis Black, fisherman reported the body a little after 9 a.m. Police only say it was a woman with no obvious signs of trauma. Homicide detectives are investigating. The woman’s identity and cause of death will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner, WFAA reported.

But thanks to a scrappy Minyard’s clerk at the scene of the first attempt — who tackled the grabber, retrieved the purse, and recorded his license plate — police quickly caught the criminal after the second event and arrested him.
