Trail is closed at Lawther-Northwest
Walking, jogging or biking between White Rock Lake and the White Rock Hills is safe and convenient these days. Last year, the trail connection that links White Rock Lake Trail from Mockingbird to Northwest along Lawther opened, providing a hike and bike path underneath Northwest Highway.
Trail closure, explained
The Dallas Park Department now is working to repair parts of the old trail south of Northwest Highway. Thus, a portion of the trail is closed, city staffers say, until Aug. 22.
