Camp Sweeney 5K
Despite a few sprinkles, the Camp Sweeney 5K and Art & Play Festival came off Memorial Day without a hitch. Diabetic youth who attend the camp each summer had joyful reunions, and much money was raised for scholarships for kids who need the educational experience that only time with others who “get you” can bring. Lake Highlanders also enjoyed the Art & Play Festival, sponsored by the LH Public Improvement District there on the Lake Highlands Town Center site. Families enjoyed artists’ booths, bounce houses, games & crafts and food trucks.
