Last year we wrote about Jonathan Ramsey, an elementary school child who reportedly was starved to death in his Lake Highlands area home.
Jonathan’s father and stepmother reportedly confessed to police that they dumped their son’s body in Ennis, where police later located the boy’s remains.
Aaron Ramsey, Jonathan’s father, today was sentenced to life in prison after a jury convicted him of serious bodily injury to a child. His wife will be tried separately.
I could write more about these parents who — right there in their home near Stults Road elementary — locked their boy in a closet and who lied to Jonathan’s concerned grandparents when they came looking him. But Jacquielynn Floyd’s column already did a good job of summing up the emotions of us spectators.
