Friday Oct. 29, if you can break away from work, go cheer on the LHHS cross country team — they will compete for the District 9-5A Championship Friday at Norbuck Park.
Friday night the football team takes on Skyline and the Dettes and Dads do halftime.
Catch Snow Queen at Dallas Children’s Theater. It combines elements of Japanese Bunraku and Czech Black Theater. Or, on the lighter side, Jingle Bells, Batman Smells. Both run all weekend.
Ghost Tales at the Bath House (Friday and Saturday) will get you in the Halloween spirit and, for the little ones, there is the LHECPTA Carnival, 10:30 a.m. – noon at White Rock Elementary School, 9229 Chriswell.
And here’s a late entry that I just heard of—the Undy 5000 5k to benefit colon cancer awareness and research. Participants run in boxer shorts. Really. Though Pegasus News shot some photos in 2009 and the folks appear to be fairly fully covered — hmpf, false advertising? Nonetheless, it’s for a very worthy cause. Hope it’s a brief race (sorry) and not too chilly!
