If you are one of many Back Talk readers concerned about the White Rock Lake Foundation funded lakeside lighting project — from our comment boards (here and here) looks like the neighborhood is sort of split on whether it’s a good idea or not — here’s your chance to get the facts/ voice your opinion. Dist. 9 Councilman Sheffie Kadane has invited residents who have voiced concern and those involved in the project planning to a community meeting Thursday May 22 from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Winfrey Point “to discuss the installation of security lights.” Kadane asks that you RSVP his office (here or 214.670.4069) if you plan to attend to ensure proper set up — contractors will bring generators to power up the contentious lights so all in attendance can see what we’re dealing with.
