Which is a good idea, actually. It’s called the Community Associations Mapping Project, and its goal is to identify every neighborhood group, crime watch and related organization in Dallas. It will go up on the city’s interactive map site, and include basic contact information.
Go here to enter your group’s information. There are links to register your association or update the information the city has. The deadline is May 9.
This is a project that the city has been pursuing, off and on, since I moved here 25 years ago. It seems to ebb and flow with the financial resources available. Hopefully, the people downtown will be able to make it work this time.
