Moss Haven Beta Club sings We Are the World in 2014

During the Ebola crisis of 2014, 5th and 6th graders in the Beta Club at Moss Haven Elementary sang a cover of “We Are the World” to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders. The project generated more than $10,000, and the students remember the recording session, which lasted well into the night, as one of the highlights of their elementary school years.

The students, now juniors and seniors at Lake Highlands, Booker T. Washington and Richardson High, recently re-recorded the song as a fundraiser for COVID-19. Monies raised will go to Imagine Dallas and their Project Feed the Heroes, feeding police, firefighters and front line workers at Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.
