The drudgery of two-a-days will be broken Wednesday night when the Lake Highlands football coaching staff presents Snacks and Facts for mothers of current Wildcat players.
It’s from 7-9 p.m. in the school library. Head coach Scott Smith will introduce each of his assistants, who will give a brief overview of the position they coach. There will also be a tour of the locker rooms and a look at the equipment the players use.
It’s a chance for football moms who aren’t as familiar with the sport to find out everything they wanted to know in a relaxed environment. It’s Football 101 without a bunch of know-it-all husbands and sons around.
"It’s a really fun time," Smith said. "We always have some good questions from the mommas."
