After suffering through a 16-3 loss to Pearce on Friday, in which coach Bob Williams said the Lake Highlands tennis team "learned a great deal," the Wildcats used their newfound knowledge to win two matches Saturday.
LH beat Garland, 18-2, and Naaman Forest, 13-6. The wins won’t get LH any special privileges at the next graduation ceremony held in Garland’s special events center, but they do show progress for the team.
"The kids played strong, with a plan, and dominated," Williams said. "Celeste Allison and Shelby Furr are coming on nicely as a No. 2 girls doubles team."
The team plays again tomorrow (Sept. 1) at Richland.
