The LH volleyball team lost its opening match of the Allen Texas Open to McKinney Boyd, but bounced back with a win over Parish Episcopal. The Wildcats play Denton Guyer at 2 p.m., then will play a crossover match at either 5:30 or 6:30 p.m., depending on where the team places in its pool.
Meanwhile, the LH football team scrimmaged South Garland at Homer B. Johnson Stadium. In general, the LH first teamers looked good. Kicker/punter Jason Dann looked really good – the net at HBJ wasn’t high enough to keep some of his field goals in the stadium.
Some of the highlights included a nice touchdown run by Devonte Sunwenghan, a great open-field tackle by David Green and a lightning-quick sack by Tre Stewart.
