george w bush libraryThe George W. Bush Presidential Center will be dedicated this Thursday on the SMU campus, and the Dallas Police Department is reminding us – especially in light of the Boston Marathon bombings –that if we see something, we should say something.

The guest list for the dedication includes President and Mrs. Obama and all living former Presidents and First Ladies, not to mention all the Bush administration dignitaries and Bush Center donors expected to be in attendance. It’s also likely to be the first big outing for little Mila, the first Bush granddaughter. Jenna Bush Hager and husband, Henry, welcomed a new daughter on April 13.

In light of the need for tight security, the DPD has asked for help from the public.

“In light of the recent bombing in Boston, it is important that suspicious behavior be reported immediately,” said a recent advisory sent to residents via Nextdoor.com, a homeowners’ crime watch website.

“The Dallas Police Department has taken every precaution to ensure the safety of our citizens, however, we ask that everyone do their part in reporting suspicious activity.”

You are advised to dial 9-1-1 immediately if you see any suspicious person or activity.
