In October of last year, the Advocate reported on a story about a group of moms making a stand for SRE, which has seen an enrollment decline and student transfers to other, higher-scoring RISD elementary schools. Apparently, the first fully-functioning PTA at SRE in over a half-decade means business, and now, they’re inviting neighbors to join in the mission.

Running through the end of the month, the fundraiser seeks to raise $2,000 for educational supplies and programming. Aside from providing materials this year, the PTA has sponsored a Hispanic heritage movie night, donuts with grownups, and a sneaker ball. More information on the fundraiser’s goals can be found here.

All donations are tax deductible and the PTA can provide documentation as needed. Donations are accepted year round.

For more information on the fundraiser, visit the PTA’s website.
