The Network of Community Ministries is hosting a series of free pop-up markets at select apartment complexes and Richardson ISD campuses this June.

RISD and The Network, as the nonprofit organization is alternatively known, collaborate on several initiatives during the school year, including the educator pantry, which gives teachers access to a closet full of nutritious snacks for their students. Now that school is out for summer, The Network will bring its Mobile Market to Skyview Elementary and four other sites once a week through June 20.Â
Each Wednesday from 11:30 a.m – 12:30 p.m, Skyview E.S. will host the Mobile Market, which offers fresh food at no cost. There are no restrictions on eligibility to receive free food from the market. La Mirada Apartments, Bowser Place Apartments, Audelia Creek E.S. and RISD Academy will also host the Market. For a full schedule, visit RISD’s website.
The Network of Community Ministries is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that operates in all 14 zip codes within RISD boundaries. Aside from partnering with RISD, The Network provides immediate needs assistance, food pantry outreach, stabilization programs and mental health services.
Skyview Elementary School is located at 9229 Meadowknoll Dr. A little further down the road, but still in Lake Highlands, Audelia Creek Elementary School is located at 12600 Audelia Rd.
