Lake Highlands Public Improvement District is hosting a meet and greet with Dallas’ new police chief this weekend.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, neighbors can head to the shopping center at 9779 Forest Lane and meet with Daniel Comeaux, who was named DPD’s 31st chief of police on April 11 by City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert. Comeaux will be joined by District 10 Council Member Kathy Stewart and other City Officials.
He was sworn in at a ceremony Downtown on May 5. Before joining DPD, Comeaux served as special agent in charge of the DEA’s Houston field office. He also has a background in local law enforcement, as he started his career in the Houston Police Department.
According to the PID’s Facebook account, entertainment will be provided for children during the event.
