The Arboretum’s annual floral festival, Dallas Blooms, kicked off on Feb. 22. With a theme of “Outside of the Ordinary,” the Southwest’s largest floral festival will see over 500,000 flowers bloom throughout its run, which ends on April 13.

Aside from experienced botanists, it can be hard for most people to know which flowers will be in bloom at a certain time. For neighbors wanting to plan out their visit for a certain bloom, the Arboretum’s website has a bloom tracker. The tracker can be found on the Arboretum’s homepage and is updated periodically by staff.

Last updated on Feb. 28, the tracker shows daffodils at 45% to peak bloom, hyacinths at 35% and tulips at 25%.

More information on events at the Arboretum this spring can be found on the Arboretum’s website.
