After more than a month of math, English and recess, Richardson ISD elementary students are getting a break this week.
This Wednesday, RISD elementary schools will release students 2 hours early. This is the first of four elementary release days planned for the 2024-25 school year, with the next falling on Oct. 23.Â
Other RISD campuses will not enjoy early release, with the last days of each semester being the only district-wide early release dates.
Those with children in half-day or Pre-K programs are encouraged to contact their child’s school to find out what its release plans are for those students. Transportation arrangements are being altered for special education programs.
