Episcopal Church of the Asension will host a four-part speaker series focused on politics, voting and Christian responsibility. Dr. Dallas Gingles, PhD, assistant dean and associate professor in Systematic Theology and Christian Ethics at SMU’s Perkins School of Theology, will speak each Wednesday evening in October about each Christian’s role as a voter.
Participation is free and open to the public. Attendees may join in person or via Zoom. Details are available here.
Highlights will include a discussion of voting for issues versus voting for persons, the moral possibilities and limitations of self-interest and more.
The series begins Oct. 2, and each session runs from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. in Parish Hall. Episcopal Church of the Ascension is at 8787 Greenville Avenue.
