With sub varsity starting at 6 and varsity beginning at 7 p.m, the Wildcats will look to start their 2024 campaign off strong in coach Cory Campbell’s second season. The Wildcats return three offensive and six defensive starters, with 26 lettermen returning overall. According to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, Campbell’s biggest concern is inexperience, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Campbell’s squad won nine games in his first season as head coach following the departure of Lonnie Jordan.

Safety Ayden Webb has been named a player to watch, with DCTF projecting Webb to earn district defensive MVP honors this year.

The Cowboys are coming off of a strong campaign in which the squad went undefeated in the regular season, finishing 12-1 overall with a second round playoff loss to Byron Martin in a shootout, 52-45.

This will be the second consecutive scrimmage against Coppell for LHHS.
