The Lupners at Lone Star Roadhouse
Grab your lawn chairs and roll out your coolers, friends. The first Sundays in the Park concert of June kicks off tonight with the Lupners at Watercrest Park.
The Lupners sing all your favorites — from Queen to K.C. and the Sunshine Band, from Blondie to the Beatles, from John Mellencamp to Journey. The band played their first official gig together at Enchilada’s on Greenville Avenue back in 2007, and they’ve been rocking roadhouses and parties ever since.
Kona Ice will be there with free shaved ice, and there’ll be face painting, a balloon artist and a bounce house for the kids. Pack a picnic, grab sandwiches at Jersey Mike’s or sit down for an après concert dinner at Fish City Grill.
The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. and is sponsored by the Lake Highlands Public Improvement District. Watercrest Park is located at the Lake Highlands Town Center, 7098 Watercrest Parkway.
