If you figured composting was just throwing orange rinds and potato peels out into your garden, think again. Dallas County Master Gardener John Hunt has written more than 100 original articles on horticulture topics, and he says composting is about “giving the soil what it wants.”
Hunt will present a free composting seminar Monday, April 15 from 3-4 p.m. at the Audelia Road Library, and the entire community is welcome — whether you’re a master gardener or weekend landscaping warrior. After the demonstration, he’ll answer questions to your green thumb’s content.
Hunt is a respected pressed leaf artist and citizen forester, with memberships in the Gardeners of America and the Garden Writers Association. He frequently appears on morning TV, hosting gardening segments on wrangling your tomatoes and other subjects.
You’ll find more seminars sponsored by the Dallas County Master Gardeners here. The Audelia Road Library is at 10045 Audelia.
