Goldie’s is the newest neighborhood eatery from the minds of Brandon Hays of This and That Hospitality, his wife Brittany Grignon of SESSION Pilates, along with restaurant veteran Brittni Clayton.
The spot takes the place of former Lake Highlands staple RM 12:20, which has sat vacant since February 2023.
The trio has enlisted the cooking talents of Chef Matt Perry, who curated an classic selection of entrees.
NY Strip: 14 oz. NY Strip with arugula, shaved parm and bone marrow butter.
Homestyle Pork Chop: 10 oz. Akaushi bone-in pork chop with taters, arugula and grilled lemon
Fresh Catch Fish: Red snapper with salsa verde
Perry previously worked at a variety of local restaurants, including Neighborhood Services, Montlake Cut, The Porch, Alice and Billy Can Can.
“Brandon and I have been circling each other and trying to find a way to work together for almost a decade,” Perry says. “The moment was right and now we are combining our passions to create this special project.”
With the moment being just right, Perry and the team stuck with the classics for the Goldie’s food menu. Their cocktails reflect the same.
C’s Cosmo: Ketel orange, Alma Finca orange liqueur, fresh orange juice, fresh cranberry juice, pomegranate
Henderson Classic: Cazcabel blanco, simple syrup, coconut water, cucumber, mint;
Pucker Up, Buttercup: Rosaluna mezcal, meyer lemon juice, simple syrup, limoncello, liquor 43
Bab’s Bicicletta: Aperol, sauv blanc, and splash of soda.
Taste the food and drinks at Goldie’s opening, this Thursday, March 27. The restaurant will be open from 4 p.m. to “late night”.
