Directional signs are expected to be installed along White Rock Lake Trail in the next 90 days.
The installation of the signs has been delayed several times, said Ted Ellis, a board member of the White Rock Lake Foundation.
This project, which has been in the works for years, is the result of a collaboration between the foundation and the Dallas Running Club.
Within the next three months or so, trail users will see 11 graffiti-proof, double-sided directional signs around the park. The signs will identify key landmarks and amenities such as bathrooms and water fountains. They will also show trail users the distances between landmarks.
Four of the signs will be about 6 feet tall, and the other seven will be smaller.
The White Rock Lake Foundation, established in 1989, is also planning a renovation of Winfrey Point.
