Northview Plaza is at the northwest corner of Plano Road and Northwest Highway.

Northview Plaza at the northwest corner of Plano Road and Northwest Highway has been purchased by a Los Angeles-based investor, according to a report by Steve Brown of the Dallas Morning News. The shopping center is home to a variety of retail and service businesses including Kroger, Petco, McDonald’s, Jazzercise and Jake’s Gameday.

“We are excited to have closed the acquisition of Northview Plaza,” Westwood Financial CEO Mark Bratt wrote in a statement. “The center’s strategic location and impressive tenant mix align perfectly with our investment strategy.”

Northview Plaza’s 180,000 square feet of retail space is currently 89% leased, Brown reports. Westwood Financial also owns and operates more than a dozen shopping centers in North Texas, including Old Town and the Village at Preston Hollow.

When Foundry Commercial and Stockbridge Capital purchased Northview Plaza in 2017, buyers said they were attracted by revitalization and new construction in surrounding neighborhoods. New townhomes north of the center were replacing aging apartments and a renaissance in the L-streets made the center attractive for commercial tenants, they said.
