And that’s what Pegasus Link Constructors shared last week.

In 2018, the Texas Transportation Commission approved the $1.74 billion reconstruction of Interstate 635 between U.S. Highway 75 and Interstate 30. The 11-mile route will go from four free lanes plus one HOV Express lane to five free lanes plus one toll lane each way. Concrete sound walls are being built on both sides and a signature bridge over Skillman is being added.

About 200,000 vehicles travel LBJ East each day.

The Texas Department of Transportation is expected to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark completion of the project in 2025.
