A local nonprofit is hosting its fourth-annual Walk4Friendship event this weekend at Flag Pole Hill.
The walk will foster connections and raise money to support Friendship Circle of Dallas, which celebrates inclusion by connecting the special needs community to those around them.
The event will start at 11 a.m. Sunday at Flag Pole Hill and will be followed by a free carnival for walk participants. A few activities for the day include rides, games, sensory activities, face painting and crafts.
When registering for the walk, teams are asked to make a donation of at least $25 to support the families of Friendship Circle. Additionally, teams of participants can fundraise and contribute to the donation process as a group.
The organization’s goal is to raise $100,000 through the event; nearly $89,00 has been raised so far. For more information, email info@friendshipdallas.org.
