The poll, conducted by RestaurantClicks.com, surveyed 3,000 travelers on the top 100 locations their tastebuds are being pulled. Dallas was one of two Texas cities that made the list.

Neighbors know their diners well for a no-frills bite, such as Norma’s Cafe, Dallas Diner and JG’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers. Typically, our diners serve American fare, like burgers, fries and sandwiches.

Some of the city’s diners have stood the test of time.

“These iconic diners have garnered a loyal following over the years, with customers who have been frequenting them for decades, creating a sense of familiarity and comfort that is hard to replicate,” RestaurantClicks.com’s Brian Nagele notes.

Neighboring Farmers Branch took the 27th spot on the list. Beating out Dallas in the poll are New York City and Honolulu in first and second respectively. Miami Beach and Roscoe, New York took the fourth and fifth spots.
