Founded by Chad and Nellie Montgomery in 2011, the festival showcases a massive variety of breweries from across Texas, accompanied by live music, food trucks and more.

Perhaps the most prominently featured company at the festival is Civil Pour in Lake Highlands, owned and operated by the Montgomerys. Civil Pour doubles as a coffee shop and beer parlor, offering “ruckus curations”, as they put it, combining different elements with coffee along with thirty active beer taps.

The shop is listed as an exclusive level sponsor, retail sponsor and sampling sponsor for the event.

Many of the featured breweries are traveling from all over Texas for the festival, with some right from our neighborhoods. Oak Cliff is home to two featured breweries, Bishop Cider and Manhattan Project Beer Company. Lakewood houses Behrnes’ Pepper Salts, an upstart seasoning brand.

Purchase tickets to the Big Texas Beer Fest here, and visit Civil Pour at 8061 Walnut Hill Ln # 924.Â
