The Dallas Park and Recreation Department will host a city-wide Kite Fest Saturday at parks across the city. Hamilton Park is included, with multiple vendors and programs surrounding the newly rebuilt Willie B. Johnson Recreation Center.
Participants are encouraged to purchase a kite, bring their own creation or show up empty-handed and receive help in the design and construction of a kite. The fun runs from 10 a.m. to noon at 12225 Willowdell, and attendance is free.
