Ten finalists have been revealed for Mr. Texas Basketball Player of the Year, and Lake Highlands’ Tre Johnson is on the list. Voting begins today for the fan portion of the selection process and runs through March 11, the night of the boys state championship game in San Antonio.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Basketball recognizes the most outstanding male and female high school players in Texas, and Chicken Express sponsors the awards. Last year’s winners were former Crosby star PJ Haggerty, now at TCU, and former Gruver standout Bailey Maupin, now at Texas Tech. LH’s own Aaliyah Taylor was the first Miss Texas Basketball of the Week this season.
