The event took place in Austin, and 54 small and independent breweries were awarded 81 medals for their brews. A total of 147 breweries competed.

Lake Highland’s own Vector Brewing took home several medals and won Brewery of the Year for the 0-599 bbl group. True Anomaly Brewing in Houston won for the 600+ bbl group.

Bbl is a measure of beer barrel volume.

The brewery also won one silver for Session and Standard Hoppy Pale Ales and Lagers and two gold medals for Fruit & Field Beer and Experimental and Hybrid & Specialty Beer.

Vector Brewing wasn’t the only Dallas Brewery represented in the competition, either. Other Dallas brewery winners taking him bronze, silver and gold included Celestial Beerworks, Deep Ellum Brewing Co. White Rock Alehouse, Peticolas, On Rotation Brewery & Kitchen and Texas Ale Project.
