Shell Shack is officially opening in Lake Highlands at Creekside Shopping Center Monday night at 6 p.m.
The Dallas-based seafood chain will celebrate the grand opening by donating 10% of proceeds to Lake Highlands High School Wildcat Club and athletic programs at Forest Meadow Junior High and Lake Highlands Junior High.
The local seafood chain specializes in seafood boils and shellfish, like crab, lobster and crawfish. The space it will move into at 6770 Abrams Road was previously Yogi’s Home Plate, right next to Alamo Drafthouse.
The seafood restaurant, which was established in 2013 in Uptown by Dallas Hale and Matt Saba, was acquired by private equity firm TriSpan Partners last year. Since then, expanding the locations has been a goal. Lake Highlands will be the seventh location.
The grand opening event will be dine-in only from 6-10 p.m.
