Lake Highlands High School’s esteemed theatre program finished their second and final showing of Queens on Friday night.
The show follows King Henry VIII as he’s tormented in purgatory by his six former wives. The one-act script was written by playwright Kristen Doherty.
The role of King Henry himself was played in part by four LH students, Billie White, Turner Ring, Jackson Knefley and Kevin Davis. The six wives were played by students from tenth to twelfth grades, most notably the role of Queen Elizabeth I, played by junior Carrington Black.
Queens was the theatre’s first production of the new year. On January 27, the auditorium opens again with a production of Mamma Mia.
