“Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus” opens Jan. 28.
As a new year begins, Dallas Children’s Theater already has their next production scheduled for Jan. 28.
Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus is a musical suitable for younger kids that are three and older.
The musical follows a bird, simply known as Pigeon, who wants to do anything other than fly. He’s not sure what exactly that is until a bus driver rolls into town and Pigeon decides he wants to drive the bus.
The original story is based on Mo Willems’ award-winning Pigeon, a series of children’s picture books following a blue pigeon and his misadventures. Willems also took part in creating the script and lyrics of the musical. Deborah Wicks La Puma produced the music.
