Texas Women’s Foundation has announced decorated track & field athlete Allyson Felix as keynote speaker for the 37th Annual Luncheon on October 6.
Felix holds 13 global titles, 20 championship medals and 11 Olympic medals.
When she’s not on the track, she advocates for maternity rights for women. She is also the founder and president of Saysh, which designs and manufactures athletic-inspired footwear made for and by women.
Dallas Mavericks will be the presenting sponsor and its president, Cynt Marshall (who is also a Texas Women’s Foundation board member) will moderate a discussion between herself and Felix.
“We’re excited about this all-star team, Allyson and Cynt, who will elevate the conversation of transforming communities with systems that support everyone, while they share sports and personal stories,” Texas Women’s Foundation CEO and president Miki Woodard said in a press release.
The luncheon will happen in October at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas.
