High school interns from the Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program are running a Healthy Kids Snack Drive from now until July 28.
Neighbors can donate approved healthy snacks from the Amazon wish list for the drive, which can be found here. The drive will benefit families in need served by Network of Community Ministries.
Network of Community Ministries is a nonprofit serving families in all of the ZIP codes within RISD with basic needs assistance, a mobile food pantry and stabilization programs.
Suggested snack items include fruit cups, cereal cups, oatmeal cups, soup cups, pasta cups and more. The items will be distributed at the Richardson ISD Backpack Bash on July 30 at Richardson High School and Aug. 6 at Lake Highlands High School.
The Network of Community Ministries will donate leftover items to area families.
